General Health Camps

With the cooperation of the non-formal education society and rural development, the hospital conducts medical camps regularly in slum areas. PG students from different departments and internees take part in this camp. They provide free medicines to needy patients and conduct diagnostic tests such as GRBs and ECG. The patients, who require further investigations, are advised to visit the hospital. These camps have received an excellent response as the inhabitants of the slum areas cannot afford medicines and hospital treatment. The hospital provides free treatment, including surgeries and medicines, to these patients.

The hospital renders the services of organizing camps at the request of organizations and NGOs. This hospital has significantly contributed to the NSS medical camps held at Ukkali.

The hospital is praised for the free initial investigations and drugs provided to the camp attendees. The hospital also visits schools and colleges for regular medical checkups of students, and students who require further investigations and treatment are advised to visit the hospital. Under Vajpayee Arogyashree, as per the SAST norms, the hospital is conducting health camps regularly.
